The International Association of Fire Chiefs works to improve fire, rescue, and emergency medical services for the general public. Members of the association include fire department chief officers, emergency services managers, and volunteer emergency workers. The association provides a variety of continuing education programs to emergency services workers, and it publishes IAFC on Scene, a semimonthly publication containing current news related to professional fire fighting and emergency services.
